This initiative, titled 'Ikebukuro Mystery Town,' involves cooperation between Toshima Ward, local shopping districts, Sunshine City, content creators, and others, with the goal of establishing Ikebukuro as a hub for mystery-related activities by hosting a variety of interactive mystery content over an extended period.

Toshima Ward and Ikebukuro have deep ties to the mystery genre, as they are home to the residence of Edogawa Rampo, who pioneered Japanese detective novels, and have hosted the presentation ceremonies for the prestigious Japan Mystery Writers Association Awards, including the Edogawa Rampo Award and the traditional Japan Mystery Writers Association Award, since 2021. With this rich historical backdrop, the collaborative urban development project 'Ikebukuro Mystery Town' has been held since July 21, 2023, centered around the theme of 'mystery' and leveraging the unique characteristics of the region.

In its second phase, Sunshine City Prince Hotel has partnered with Taketa Insatsu Co., Ltd. to offer a special accommodation plan titled 'The 500 Million Yen Treasure Heist,' in collaboration with the popular mystery manga 'Kindaichi Case Files.' This event features a murder mystery experience where participants immerse themselves in the world of 'Kindaichi Case Files' characters and unravel the truth. The accommodation plan allows guests to enjoy the distinctive allure of our hotel.

By questioning and interacting with other players, they uncover clues leading to the culprit and progress through the story, engaging in an immersive detective game.
