Mouton & Company Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Yuki Okuno) has launched the Ikebukuro Animation Philharmonic, an orchestra specializing in anime music.
Established at the suggestion of world-renowned saxophonist Hiroshi Matsushita (our company's director), our group aims to become a place where anime lovers can gather at the intersection of the diversifying anime culture, and is a representative of the city responsible for anime culture. We are planning to conduct activities mainly in Ikebukuro, Japan.
The orchestra members are made up of 63 players selected from around 300 applicants, and the performers are not only talented in performance skills, but also full of love for anime works and deep knowledge of works and music that they all respect. The names are listed.
The operation is carried out by the Ikebukuro Animation Philharmonic Executive Committee, which is made up of about 10 musicians called upon by Mr. Matsushita, and with Mr. Akira Konomi (Representative Director of the World Cosplay Certification Association) as an advisor, the orchestra brings together a multifaceted perspective.
