“The Rose of Versailles” and “Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa” will hold a collaboration event

Early summer is the time when roses bloom, full of brightness and color. This season, we invite you to a “sea ball” created by the splendid worldview, unique characters, and creatures of the timeless masterpiece “The Rose of Versailles,” which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022.
One of the areas that symbolizes the event, the entrance ``Escort Grand Staircase'' (see next page for details), is decorated with a gorgeous grand staircase reminiscent of medieval European palaces and bright rose flowers, along with fish. Oscar" and "Marie Antoinette" will welcome guests.
``The Rose of Versailles'' is derived from a manga and has been developed in various genres, including TV animation and stage performances by the Takarazuka Revue, and is loved by a wide range of age groups. Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa, located in the heart of the city, exhibits 20,000 creatures from around 350 species and conveys its charm through a variety of performances.
This time, the collaboration event was realized because of the commonality between the works and living creatures, the beauty, and the fact that they are loved by generations.
By collaborating with the masterpiece that revolutionized girls' manga when it was first serialized, we have created a beautiful, sophisticated worldview and content rich in gimmicks. Guests can immerse themselves in the beautiful world of "bell roses" expressed using digital technology and various decorations, and have fun learning about the ecology of living things through aquariums and performances that include illustrations and dramatic stories.

The theme of the performance is “Sea Ball.” One of the charms of ``The Rose of Versailles'' is that the world of glamorous royalty and aristocracy that everyone admires is expressed in the ocean. Starting with the gorgeous grand staircase painted at the entrance, there is a ballroom where creatures associated with "nobility" and fish performing unique dances (=swimming) gather, a rose garden with famous aquariums, and a limited menu. There are five aquarium areas, including a cafe bar. In addition, the power content "Dolphin Performance" will feature different day and night programs in which dolphins move to the tune of an elegant waltz or "Bell Rose."
Immerse yourself in the world of the work, learn about living things through the drawings and stories, and enjoy taking photos in art spaces while dressed up.

The grand staircase has a presence reminiscent of medieval European palaces. At the top, a shining chandelier was drawn using digital technology. In addition, a "red carpet" that decorates the feet of guests and decorations featuring the main characters will make the space even more gorgeous, and in the central aquarium, a "bellied lionfish" that is as pretty as a rose and has "thorns" will be on display.
