Automated Taxi Doors

In Japan, taxi doors are automatic, and you're not supposed to touch them. I had heard about it, but experiencing it firsthand was truly surprising. The professionalism of the taxi drivers in Japan also seems to be at a remarkable level on a global scale.

Public Toilets

Japanese toilets, including their washlet features, are incredibly popular worldwide. Some people even buy them to take home. What's impressive about Japanese toilets is the high performance of public ones. Recently constructed restrooms come with astonishing features, including automatic lid opening, automatic flushing, and even built-in hand dryers. Some even have jet towel hand dryers. The remarkable thing is that these high-tech toilets are available for free public use in Japan.

Convenience Stores

In Japan, 24-hour convenience stores are a common sight. These stores offer a wide variety of items, including warm foods, and many have ATMs and copy machines as well. This convenience might be due to Japan's reputation for safety.

Food Samples

The skillful artistry behind Japanese food samples is astonishing. In places like Kappabashi Shopping Street, you can buy keychains with incredibly realistic food samples. Many people purchase these as souvenirs. The attention to detail is truly remarkable.

Iced Coffee

Iced coffee was actually invented by the Japanese between 1912 and 1926. While Starbucks has popularized iced coffee and frappuccinos globally, the style of iced coffee found in Japan is unique. People visiting Japan for the first time are often surprised by how delicious it is.

Stationery Functionality and Design

Japanese stationery has been gaining attention worldwide in recent years. While Japanese-made products have long been known for their quality and affordability, the country's sense of design has led to a surge in aesthetically pleasing options. Stationery is no exception, with functional and beautifully designed items available in various colors. Some visitors to Japan even come specifically to buy stationery due to its quality and design.
