'Cosplay de Marine Litter Zero Operation 2023 Spring', a litter pick-up event to be held together with cosplayers.

The General Incorporated Association World Cosplay Culture Promotion Association (Chairperson: Tomoko Amano) will be hosting "Cosplay de Marine Debris Zero Operation!! 2023 Spring" on May 27, 2023 (Saturday) in Namba, Osaka. In collaboration with the Nippon Foundation's "Sea and Japan Project," the World Cosplay Culture Promotion Association aims to protect the "Future of the Sea," which is not only a photo spot for cosplayers but also a vital cause. They strive to raise awareness of marine debris issues among cosplayers with a strong presence on social media and expand the circle of initiatives to address marine debris problems.

On the day of the event, various cosplayers will gather not only to clean up the streets of Osaka but also to enjoy a chartered Tonburi River cruise called the "Cosplay de Marine Debris Zero Cruise." They will have the opportunity to promote the efforts of the "Marine Debris Zero Week" while taking photos. Additionally, there will be a special "Cosplay Allowed Stores Map" available exclusively for the event, allowing participants to enjoy street cosplay through the "Cosplay de Marine Debris Zero City Walk." <Marine Debris Zero Week Opening Ceremony>
As the kickoff for the "Spring Marine Debris Zero Week," which will be held nationwide from May 28th (Sunday) to June 11th (Sunday), an opening ceremony will take place. The ceremony will connect the venue with several locations nationwide through online platforms, and the "Marine Debris ZORO Declaration" will be announced as the opening declaration.

In the streets of Osaka, particularly in the Namba area, including the bustling "Tonburi River Walk," all participants will engage in simultaneous litter picking, focusing on the issue of littering. Let's energize the "Cosplay de Marine Debris Zero Operation" together!

On the same day (Saturday), the popular event "acosta! Marche" will also be held! This time, the event will feature the largest number of exhibitors ever, with approximately 300 circles participating. It's an event where fans can meet their favorite artists, and we welcome many visitors who may not be cosplaying themselves.

After the litter picking activity, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a photo session not only in the Namba River Walk area but also aboard a chartered Tonburi River cruise.
