'The Dress-Up Doll Falls in Love' began serialization in 'Young Gangan' from the 2018 issue #3 and celebrated its 5th anniversary in February 2023. The comic series is currently available up to volume 11, with a cumulative circulation of over 9 million copies as of May 2023. It gained popularity among young men and women when it was adapted into a TV anime from January to March 2022, and a sequel was announced in September 2022.
This exhibition is held to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the manga serialization. Through displays of impressive manga manuscripts, color illustrations, and cosplay costumes of Marin Kitagawa, visitors can deepen their understanding of the work and characters and further appreciate the original source material.
The main visual for the exhibition is an original illustration drawn by Shinichi Fukuda-sensei specifically for this event. Additionally, original merchandise related to the exhibition will be available for purchase at the venue.
