Matsuya Ginza will hold the TV anime "Urusei Yatsura" exhibition from Wednesday, October 2, 2024 to Monday, October 14, 2024 (holiday).
``Urusei Yatsura'' is the debut serialized work by Rumiko Takahashi, a popular manga artist who continues to be active at the forefront and continues to create works that represent Japan. From 2022 to 2024, to commemorate Shogakukan's 100th anniversary, selected episodes of the original story will be made into a TV anime.
Fearless, all in love, yet somehow sad...Ataru and Ram's boy-meets-girl stories are colored by characters from all over the galaxy, and this romantic comedy has captivated many people even in the Reiwa era. doing.
The story concept of this exhibition is "Girl Hunt with Ataru!!" We will introduce the charm of the TV anime "Urusei Yatsura", which mixes the nostalgia and novelty of the Showa and Reiwa eras, with a focus on the unique characters. In addition to valuable setting materials from the TV anime, we will also display a 3D figure of Ram. Since his debut in 1978 with Karate Na Yatsura, he has been active on the front lines for over 30 years, mainly in boys' manga magazines. In 1981, he won the 26th Shogakukan Manga Award in the boys category for Urusei Yatsura, and in 1987 he won the 18th Nebula Award in the comic category. In 1989, he won the 20th Nebula Award in the Comic Category for ``Mermaid Forest,'' and in 2002, he won the 47th Shogakukan Manga Award in the Boys' Category for ``Inuyasha.'' "MAO" has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 2019.

"Urusei Yatsura"
A slapstick love comedy set in the fictional town of Tomobiki-cho, outer space, and other dimensions, centering around Ataru Moroboshi, the ``most evil'' high school student on earth, and Lum, a beautiful alien girl who loves him.
The first TV anime series was broadcast on Fuji TV and other networks for about four and a half years from October 1981 to March 1986, and six animated movies related to the first Urusei Yatsura were produced and the TV series was broadcast. After the show ended, an original TV anime was also produced.
On January 1, 2022, it was announced that the first TV animation in about 36 years would be made to commemorate Shogakukan's 100th anniversary. The first season was broadcast from October 2022 to March 2023 on Fuji TV "Noitamina" and other stations. The second season will be broadcast from January 2024.
