Gunma-chan 30th Anniversary "Local Character Carnival"

Gunma Prefecture celebrated the 30th anniversary of Gunma-chan's birth with the event "Local Character Carnival," held at the Gunma Prefectural Office on September 30th (Saturday) and October 1st (Sunday) for two days. Over the course of these two days, a total of approximately 31,000 people attended.

Gunma-chan, along with its friends "Aoma" and "Mii Mii," as well as Kumamoto Prefecture's "Kumamon," and a total of 92 local characters from both inside and outside the prefecture, gathered for this event. This marked the first large-scale character event in Gunma Prefecture and concluded with great success.
